Bale Arm Crates
We offer a Heavy Duty Range of New Zealand moulded Vented Bale Arm Crates which are of an older design, but due to this, provide thick wall sections where it matters combined with a high grade of Polypropylene (PP) as a raw material. We recommend these for where the crates are prone to be under duress, or used in environments where rough treatment is the norm. They do carry a higher price tag, but they have proven themselves to last the distance and in certain applications are a better investment than those in our Deep Nest OPTILOG Range. We generally sell these into the primary industries such as meat, poultry, and pet food processing, along with other food and non food applications.
Our new range of OPTILOG Vented Bale Arm Crates are designed with fresh produce in mind and are of the same . These incorporate the latest in Deep Nest technologies where the cost of reverse logistics is a big factor. As these crates are primarily designed for produce, they have thinner wall sections when compared to the Heavy Duty crates as due to current advancements in raw materials, these crates will still perform and also achieve a lighter load when full, and when nested for return back to the point of origin.
Both ranges of crates are modular being 600 x 400mm in footprint, and therefore will fully utilise a standard pallet size of 1200 x 1000mm to keep produce in optimum condition when in transit.
Each crate option has fully vented bases and side walls for enhanced chilled air circulation in a controlled air environment, or by using a hydration process to initially take the field temperature of the produce down as well as to keep it chilled in storage to maintain the freshness of the produce from "paddock to plate".
The smaller and low side wall options are designed for cherries, berries, cherry tomatoes, and small pip fruits where excess loading can cause damage to the fruit. The larger sizes of crates are designed for more resilient varieties of produce with all crates fitted with strong nylon swing bars to take the weight of the crates stacked above.
